Job Summary:

Supermicro Computer is looking for a Sales Manager who can build up and out Supermicro business in DOE National Labs, promote Supermicro and its product portfolio with these Labs. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for expanding and uncovering incremental opportunities at the Labs with existing presence, introduce Supermicro and indentitfy opportunities at the Labs with no known presence and develop new procurement vehicles to faciliate Supermicro DOE business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

•Identifying new business opportunities and potential customers in various vertical industries.

• Building strong relationships with key decision-makers in target countries.

• Strategically position Supermicro's solutions & services and develop a strategic goal with target accounts.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, engineering, and product management, to develop and deliver solutions that meet customer needs.

• Conducting market research and analyzing market trends to qualify and identify new growth opportunities.

• Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of Supermicro's product portfolio and competitive landscape. 

• Negotiating contracts and agreements with customers and partners.

• Some travel (up to 50%) is expected.


• Bachelors or Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field is desirable.

• Must have 10+ years of knowledge selling x86 hardware architecture solutions (servers, Workstations, Desktops and Laptops) and/or technology to channel data center, enterprise or corporate accounts (prior software sales will be considered). 

• Successful demonstrate track records with credible pre-call planning, opportunity qualification, cold calling, objection handling and follow up with key decision makers.

• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, strong team player, persuasive communication and negotiating skills written/verbal presentation across multiple disciplines and diverse cultures.

• Professionalism combined with passion for creativity, extremely proactive, highly organized, time & territory management with proven ability & consistently meeting/exceeding multiple assigned tasks/jobs/goals in timely manner.

• Fluency in English is required, Mandarin Chinese (preferred, not required), any other Indo-European language are a plus.
