Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking an experienced and innovative Strategic Components PM/Buyer that can help us grow our technologies into the parallel computing and hyper-converged spaces. This is a fast moving, emerging business, and successful candidates will be able to move and adapt quickly to changing needs, manage multiple initiatives, engage at all executive levels both inside Supermicro and with partners, and have proven track record of developing products as well as business model from the ground up. The successful candidate will be self-driven and passionate about bringing new solutions to market. This position will be located in the EMEA headquarters in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Strategic Components PM/Buyer responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Own the product life cycle from idea to development to go-to-market to obsolescence
• Suggest and promote the best key components configuration and optimization to high end visualization.
• Be the voice of the company to target customers, and develop a feedback circle to test new product concepts in real customer environments
• Develop new pricing strategies to maximize value capture of full solution, both software and hardware
• Leverage the solution across and to other product groups within Supermicro
• Demonstrate strong analytical and strategic thinking skills along with the ability to translate those skills into creative marketable solutions
• Support both Pre-sales and Post-sales as well as training to SMC PMs, Sales and VARs.
• Able to work together with Sales/BDM on project/tender, Fulfill sales order, control inventory stock level

Qualifications:

• Technical degree preferred. MBA or relevant advanced degree highly desirable
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a leader of cross-functional teams, ideally in hardware and software solution product management, sales or purchasing fields
• Knowledge of server/workstation hardware business models or related sectors.
• Strong analytical, marketing and project management skills – a drive for results and a history of successful execution on projects
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, sense of responsibility and could demonstrate strong ownership.
• Could perform fast and proper action under dynamic working environment
• Ability to develop business relationships from scratch, both internal and external to Supermicro
• Humble attitude, willing to keep learning and contribution to business growth
• Team spirit, working with motivation, flexibility, and passion
