Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated and aggressive server, storage and Chassis Business Development Specialist for our Headquarters located at San Jose. You will work with direct corporate clients and participate in business development that would develop new project opportunities, bring back leads for our sales teams and direct channel customers. We expect you to amaze us with your business development strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Deliver new product training to customers to accelerate their Time To Market.
• Recruit new customers in datacenter, IoT, 5G, supercomputing fields and specific vertical markets/applications. Cold calling will be required.
• Provide general product sales training scheduled by annual program or based on request from channel sales. Participate in training material creation
• Expand relationships at existing client accounts that need addition attention for retention and growth
• Qualify opportunities; create and maintain CRM inputs with target customer lists for vertical markets
• Strategically position Super Micro’s products and services with new customer engagements
• Promote the right product to the right customer and application
• Develop customer relationships, communicate product, market trends and other information
• Develop superior customer service relationships with prospects and work with sales teams to close deals
• Identify server, storage, motherboard and chassis OEM business opportunities
• Works as part of a team and closely with other departments within the organization
• Produce reports as necessary

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or engineering discipline is strongly desirable
• 1-2 years of experience in either chassis products or sales/marketing environment is preferred
• Able to work positively under deadlines and constraints, result-oriented and attentive to detail
• Consistently meeting/exceeding assigned jobs/goals in timely manner
• Strong communication skills across multiple disciplines and cultures; demonstrated communication skills-written, verbal presentation
• Experience tracking and reporting data on lead activity using CRM resources available.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
