Supermicro is currently seeking for a buyer with experience in computer component procurement. The primary responsibilities will be to forecast and execute procurement of PCBA and interface with Program Managers/Sales to support production and meeting customer delivery schedule. A successful candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and resourceful individual with great interpersonal and communicational skills.
Job included but not limited to:
- Issue purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery
- Review sales forecast and keep optimal inventory level to minimize carrying costs
- Communicate with Program Managers/Sales to support system build plan
- Analyze global demand and provide forecast to suppliers
- Manage new product release and product obsolesces
- Provide product training to new sales for assigned products
- Maintain relationships with suppliers
- Other relevant duties assigned by supervisor/manager
- BS in Engineer, Computer, and Business major background preferred
- Some relevant work experience in supply chain management will be a plus
- Some experience in handling high value commodity and high volume transactions a plus
- Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Skilled in coordinating and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills
- Advanced Excel skills preferred
- Able to function in a very fast paced environment and can adapt to changes quickly
- Extremely detail-oriented and self-driven
- Bilingual in English & Chinese (Mandarin) highly desirable
