Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking for a director-level professional to lead the functional team for the product lifecycle management of OEM and major accounts. You will lead cross-department functional teams to fulfill customers’ requirements and will resolve escalation timely to ensure customer satisfaction.  The candidate needs to have strong knowledge in server architecture with superior business acumen, ability to work efficiently with decisionmaker on customer’s side to ensure business success.

This position will be based in our headquarters located in San Jose, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To lead the Functional Project Team for OEM/Major Account product life cycle management and reach business success.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but not limited to below:

- Develop OEM PM team capabilities for Scale Up / Scale Out to meet business growth

- Engage with Sales/Business Development departments

  • Support Sales team in technical fields of Server/OEM System business practices.
  • Define customer requirements, develop and drive customization of server products.
  • Engaged with Management of OEM customers for product strategy and business operations.

- Engage with Engineering departments

  • Leverage existing resources and coordinate them for OEM customizations on required schedule.
  • Coordinate internal engineering resources to solve any technical and quality issues of the products.

- Engage with Production departments (Worldwide Production sites.)

  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) of OEM products to Production with OEM customer’s specifications.
  • Coordinate and drive solutions for technical/quality/material issues found during production stage.

- Engage with Operation departments.

  • Lead cross-function project team for sustaining stage supports, including On-Site Service, RMA, Failure Analysis, ECO implementation, EOL managements…etc.
  • Work with Material planning and purchasing teams to solve fulfillments, forecast, and other operation issues.




  • Bachelor Degree minimum. BS/MS of engineering fields preferred. Business related is acceptable with related work experiences.
  • 15+ years of computer hardware design/manufacturing industry experiences. Server related is preferred.
  • Experienced in OEM business for computer/internet/telecommunication appliances or Server Products for major datacenters, cloud service providers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers for technical and quality issues during development and production stage.
  • A positive can-do attitude with excellent communication skills.
