Super Micro Computer, Inc. is looking for a seasoned Director of Facilities to manage the daily activities required to support office/manufacturing operations and support buildings. The ideal candidate will focus on providing site support to all facets of the site facilities’ requirements relating to building and equipment repair, preventive maintenance, inspections, and various site activities as requested.
- Coordinate repair/routine maintenance on facilities and equipment including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, air compressors, Waste treatment, janitorial activity, and tasks relating to the interior and exterior conditions and appearance of the buildings.
- Responsible for planning, budgeting, and scheduling facilities modifications. This includes cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction.
- Manage facilities and equipment maintenance staff and ensure continuous service.
- Participates in the selection of contractors and sub-contractors, vendor negotiation of service agreements and day-today monitoring of vendor performance to assure full compliance with standards established within the service agreement.
- Coordinate all departmental safety activity, including training, assuring that all environmental and safety requirements are attained.
- Leads injury and near-miss accidents investigations to minimize recurrence and to prepare accident reports. Coordinates accident investigations and criminal act investigations occurring on company property
- Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.
- Carry out routine maintenance and inspection of fire protection system.
- Tracking and assigning facilities work orders until closure.
- Bachelor’s degree in related fields required.
- 10 years plus facilities management experience as well as a technical background in facilities management and manufacturing maintenance.
- Strong working knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
- Must have extensive experience managing contractors and sub-contractors.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and make decisions.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to creatively develop and implement approved maintenance solutions to improve equipment performance.
- Knowledge and experience to support the day to day operation as well as the multitude of projects that are performed throughout the year.
- In-depth knowledge in construction and its regulation is preferred.
- Speaking and understanding Mandarin a plus.
