Job Summary:

Super Micro is looking for an IT Engineer to strengthen the team located in the San Jose. The IT Engineer will be reporting to the local IT manager and will cover all tasks concerning user support and administration. The position is located in our San Jose, CA and will be a full-time position concentrating on but not limited to regular office hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Job included but not limited to:

  • 2+ years of IT helpdesk and/or system administration.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for end users in the San Jose office, as well as remote employees in the U.S., and international subsidiaries excluding end user in Taiwan and Netherlands.
  • Assist in managing cloud infrastructure in private cloud, mostly in windows system and Linux will be plus.
  • Powershell scripting experience in AD/Exchange/others management and know about other scripting will be plus.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems such as Microsoft, Apple and common network problems for client and server when they have difficulty.
  • Well versed in using and supporting Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Support corporate network/wireless access and applications both on the network as well as over VPN. Handle VPN, network/wireless.
  • Preferred skill: Workstation software/hardware install and configuration. Windows AD/Server/workstation/SQL server. Vmware configuration. Network concept and operation. Monitoring and logging analysis.

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, IT or related field
  • Knowledge in Windows OS, Mac will be plus.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Positive, can-do attitude and teamwork.
  • Solid communication skills in both verbal and written.  Bilingual will be a plus.
