Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking a layout engineer to support the PCB layout and power routing. The ideal candidate will have an electrical engineering degree with PCB layout and signal integrity experience. This position will be based out of headquarter office located in San Jose, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


• Server mother board and peripheral PCB layout

• Evaluation of possible routing on minimal PCB layers

• Responsible for placement, routing and electrical constraint setup

• Review artwork, Clean DRC and Gerber out

Qualifications:


• BS in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred

• Minimum 2 years PCB layout experience preferred

• Deeply familiar with Cadence CAD tools: PCB editor, or CAD

• Wide knowledge of PCB manufacture process, Materials and Impedance control

• Experienced in high speed signals, high current power routing

• PCB signal integrity experience is a plus

• Able to sit for long periods of time.

• Able to input data into a computer and work with a computer screen for long periods of time.

• Occasional bending and standing.

• Standing, walking, sitting, talking/listening, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms.

• Lift, carry, push and pull up to 15 pounds.

Work Environment:
