Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking an experienced and exceptional Mid-level Software Engineer to work on critical Supermicro update application.  This is a key role that will give you the opportunity to expand your knowledge in both programming and server management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing, testing, delivering, documenting, debugging/troubleshooting and maintaining Linux/Windows application, driver for server and storage system, mostly C programming

• Remotely participate in Scrum activities (sprint daily standup and planning meetings)
• Responsible for all software and firmware related issues during the planning, development, and validation stages of the program

• Work closely with other R&D teams and validation team members to triage customer issues


• BS or MS in CS/CE/EE is required
• Minimum 4 years of working experience in Linux/Windows programming and development environment, familiar with FreeBSD is a plus
• Strong communication skill, able to converse with customer, FAE to gather relevant data for issues debug/troubleshooting purpose

• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Linux scripting and Golang, familiar with x86 assembly language is a plus

• Experience with REST API, Redfish protocol development, familiar with UEFI is a plus.
• Experience in Linux OS, using Git source code control systems
• Windows device driver development experience is a plus
