Job Summary:

Supermicro is growing and we are recruiting for a Sr. Accounting Manager, who will reports to the Assistant Corporate Controller and is responsible for global accounting policy setting, implementation, updates and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and information system, an active CPA license and a combination of public accounting and industry experience with strong understanding of US GAAP. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage global accounting policies and compliance
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, ensure they are in accordance with GAAP and adhered to in practice
  • Communicate with various business partners to refine existing policies and implement new policies
  • Operationalize new accounting standards and provide global guidance to various subsidiaries
  • Work with the accounting team on continuous optimization of various accounting process to streamline and shorten the month end closes
  • Collaborate with internal audit team to remediate control deficiencies to be in compliance with SOX 404
  • Monitor global compliance of accounting policies
  • Lead cross functional projects as requested including design of end-to-end processes, working with IT to test and implement systems
  • Seek to continuously improve accounting processes and systems to gain efficiencies and apply best practices
  • Support business and department goals and initiatives as needed
  • Interact with external auditors as needed to ensure timely completion of audits


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent.
  • CPA required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 8+ yeats experience with a fast growing high-tech or hardware manufacturing company is preferred
  • Previous auditing experience with a Big 4 or Regional public accounting firm is preferred
  • Previous SOX experience highly valued
  • Superior working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP experience highly valued).
  • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with “can do” attitude and ability to multi-task while performing a variety of complex tasks
