Job Summary:

Super Micro Computer, Inc. is currently seeking a Sr. Buyer/Product Manager who is energetic, self-motivated and detail-oriented to support our fast growing organization in the company headquarter located in San Jose, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

• Responsible for component procurement

• Establish vendor relationships

• Drive quarterly pricing reduction plan

• Manage inventory health and forecasting

• Determine and execute exit inventory strategies

• Ability to manage multiple products, define strategies, drive product/technology roadmap, cross-function between different teams to resolve all engineering and quality issues

• Ability to work and adapt in fast-paced environment

• Demonstrated good communication skills, passionate in listening and presentation

Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree is preferred

• 5+ years working experience in IT industry, server/storage companies

• Experience in manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive product/projects to completion

• Proven track record of delivering results in large, cross-functional initiatives

• Experience negotiating with suppliers as needed, lead-times, freight, cost and etc.

• Strong communication skill with system team and sales to provide optimized solution

• Proven ability to follow up on daily logistic operation (orders, forecast, schedule and etc.)

• Experiences in vendor relationship management

• Strong analytical skills to identify problems, evaluate and coordinate solutions

• Able to input data into a computer and work with a computer screen for long periods of time.

• Lift, carry, push and pull up to 15 pounds.
