Job Summary:

Supermicro is looking for a highly well-versed Sr. Director, Solution Management to lead and manage the end-to-end IoT solution and promotion, especially in 5G application for Telecom industry.  In this role, you will lead cross-functional engineering team and provide technical direction and guidance to optimize the market competitiveness of Supermicro solution design.  In the meantime, you will partner with customer engagement team to understand clients’ need on Telco industry requirements, and lead internal team in both customization and/or design processes. 

This position can be based in our headquarters located in San Jose, CA or support remotely.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Highly proficient in data analysis to create "Target Customers" as depth or breath.
  • Negotiate and execute on potential business opportunity between customers and vendors.
  • Direct large, global, virtual, and cross-functional teams and communications to facilitate the development of strategic initiatives and fully integrate strategic initiatives across businesses and regions.
  • Work and lead across business units, in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Provides strong leadership, develops and sets individual and team goals, and acts as a change agent and leader.
  • Primary focus on Telco segment as presale, propose, and identify projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or with equivalent experiences; Master’s degree in engineering or business administration is a plus
  • Minimum 17 years of product or engineering management experiences in the IT industry, with 8 years in people management role
  • In-depth business connection in Telco segment, experience in leading high-level business meeting and engagements, ability to persuade decision-maker and further lead to business opportunities and results.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and presentational skills, ability to present demo and solutions to large groups and C-level executives
  • Solid interpersonal (written and verbal communication) and project management skills, able to influence and lead dynamic groups in corporate environment efficiently\
  • In-depth knowledge in IT industry and its application, able to influence and recommend clients the right solutions and provide internal teams on technical directions

  • Able to input data into a computer and work with a computer screen for long periods of time.

  • Lift, carry, push and pull up to 15 pounds.
