Job Summary:

The position will be responsible for system, electronic, thermal, mechanical design engineering, during validations, optimization and debugging for the varieties of the server systems in Super Micro Computer.

The candidate provides the leadership roles in reviewing the electronic, mechanical or thermal design engineering.

1. Collaborate with System PM and System designers to define and review new product system architecture. 
2. Perform system design review from concept, prototype to final product. 
3. Work closely with others electrical/mechanical/thermal engineers to review designs for the complete system. 
4. Report and drive to resolve any system level design issue.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Good ODM/OEM system design knowledge for server solution and industry design standards

• Work with the product manager in the development and integration of customer system products

• Work with product functions team engineers to ensure product quality.

• Proactively engages in learning and researching new technologies products.

• Highly technical problem solver who understands system architecture, hardware, and software interaction.

• Execute benchmark testing and build proof of concepts based on the customer's new technologies and Supermicro server products.

• Assistance system development required document.

Qualifications:

• BS/MS in EE, CE and 1+ years of system engineering or equivalent experience

• Self-motivated individual and a great team player

• Experience in configuring computer systems

• Strong knowledge with computer architectures

• Solid background in Server technology is a must

• Familiar with Windows Server and Linux operating systems

• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving and communication skill.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams, ideally in hardware and software solution product management.

• Experiences in technical writing and Good communication skills.

Minimum Qualification

• Experience in Intel Server system architectures.

• Familiar with the oscilloscope and other engineering measurement equipment.

• Experience with ODM/OEM program development is must.

• Experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux based environments

• Solid scripting skills and network knowledge (e.g., Python, )

• Lift, carry, push and pull in excess of 25 pounds
