Job Summary:

Supermicro Computer is looking for a Business Development Manager who can build up and out Supermicro business to represent Supermicro and help find new Opportunities in new larger accounts in Enterprise and Public sectors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

• Locate and make available for bidding "greenfield" business opportunities at the Labs with existing presence

• Locate and make available for bidding competitive displacement opportunities at the Labs with existing presence

• Locate and make available for bidding incremental opportunities for the existing install base within the Labs with existing presence

• Identify and get engaged at the "greenfield" opportunities at the Labs with no known presence

• Work towards putting in place procurement vehicles for the Labs to easier procure Supermicro (JIT, BOA, etc.) both at the Labs and DOE levels

• Promote Supermicro product portfolio within the Labs, organize Technology Updates and Roadmap discussions, executive meetings at the Super Computing Shows and other meetings

Qualifications:


• English and Turkish are mandatory.

• BA or BS in Business Administration or related field preferred

• Experience selling to DOE Labs for 10-15 years preferred

• Direct Sales experience in Data Center space -- 10-16 years preferred

• PKI-oriented Sales Business Development experience -- 10-15 years preferred

• Direct contact base in Procurement as well as functional divisions at the DOE labs

• Technical knowledge in Compute, Networking and Storage in HPC

• Strong team player

• Prior experience selling technology into corporate accounts

• Demonstrated ability in the following areas: pre-call planning, opportunity qualification and objection handling, call structure and control, time and territory management

• Strong persuasive and negotiating skills

• Extremely proactive, highly organized, with proven ability to manage multiple tasks

• Professionalism combined with a passion for creativity

• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and diverse culture
