Job Summary:

As a global leader in server technologies, Supermicro has been growing extremely fast in many key markets such as Cloud Computing, Big Data, HPC, Storage, etc. To meet the market demand, Supermicro is seeking a Business Development Manager who will report to the sales organization and work from Home office within our Eastern European Territory, preferably from Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary or Romania.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

•  Develop a clear strategy to identify and engage with incrementally new strategic customers, with an emphasis on Fortune-1000, FSI, HPC, Telco and large DC opportunities;
•  Demonstrate a proven network of contacts with end customers and a history having won business in those accounts;
•  Be capable of utilising their exiting contacts to general short medium and long term pipeline within the first 3 months;
•  Maintaining and developing relationships with new and existing Customers;
•  Understanding, articulating, and selling propositions with your customers;
•  Identifying and managing sales forecasts for your customers;
•  Retaining and growing business from existing core customers;
•  Identifying and converting Business Development opportunities across the sector;
•  Understanding of the global market to identify future customer and product requirements;
•  Be able to achieve sales targets and growth;
•  Providing strategic Reviews (Internal and External).


  • Direct sales experience in Server / Storage / Enterprise / Cloud required.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of progressively expanding marketing, business development, and/or direct sales experience.
  • Track record of successful new customer engagements and sales / market share growth in previous assignments.
  • Must have deep industry relationships that can be leveraged to attract incrementally new customers.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills are required in order to communicate effectively with customers and also with internal organizations.
  • Good English Language skills in both Written and Spoken are required.
  • Broadest possible Local Language Skills for Eastern European countries, including Russian Language skills are clearly advantageous.
