Job Summary:

Supermicro’s team is looking for a Production Engineer working in Production department. This is a hands on role who shall understand the entire production process and products on the production line and be able to troubleshoot issues, identify areas for improvement and generate plans so as to improve the efficiency, flexibility, output and quality of Supermicro's production capabilities. The position is based in our EMEA headquarter at ‘s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Generate and update SOPs for production processes
  • Train operators and teams on SOP execution
  • Work with production team leaders and operations personnel to develop and execute plans for the continuous improvement of business measures including, but not limited to Product Yields, Cycle Time, Work Flow/Efficiency improvement, etc.
  • Troubleshoot production and product on line issues and provide support in production process
  • Handle and coordinate PVT process and success on the production floor

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, 5+ years relevant work experience with storage component and system, server and hard drives industry;
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environment preferred;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization;
  • Must have the ability to lead cross-functional teams consisting of operators, supervisors and technicians;
  • Must be knowledgeable in statistical quality control and design of experiments;
  • Ability to work with a team as well as independently;
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Thick film processing a plus;
  • Active learner with the ability to bring new insight to improving the manufacturing processes.
