Job Summary:

Supermicro Computer is looking for a talented Assistant Quality Assurance Manager who is exceptionally detail-oriented with strong analytical skill which can convert data into findings and improvement plans. The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge of server/data center products and have hands-on experiences in leading improvement and process development in respect to incoming components, assembly and manufacturing processes. In addition, Assistant QA Manager must serve as the gatekeeper to help inspect the process of final product to ensure it has been built with compliance to internal and external standards which meets the expectation of SMC customers. You will be partner with Quality Manager to work with department managers to develop and improve internal process

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

• Manages quality system, which includes oversight of all related quality assurance procedures, internal audits, customer audits and responses, root cause analysis and corrective action system

• Analyzes serious defects or recurring conditions in accordance with the written procedures

• Manages all activities related to manufacturing quality assurance, including procurement quality, in-process and final inspection, process validation and the quality management operating system

• Leads and manages a continuous process improvement program incorporating a Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) program to ensure timely and effective resolution of process issues and customer complaints

• Maintains approval and continued compliance of quality system requirements to include, but not limited to ISO and contractual requirements

• Monitors effectiveness of the quality systems through timely reporting of internal and external quality metrics

• Develops and implements program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses

• Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards

• Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems

• Feedback quality problems to the production team and find a solution to improve quality level

• Ensure the effective and efficient operation of team to provide quality improvement leadership

• Execute and implement quality activities in compliance with the company goal

• Conduct customer audit meetings and follow up on improvement activities

Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering discipline with 5 years of working experience in Quality Engineering or Quality Management Specialist in the electronic manufacturing environment

• Hands-on experience is required in developing standards and making them operational

• Travel to Mainland and Taiwan is required, Mandarin speaking is a plus

• Diligent, Self-Discipline and able to work under pressure

• Proven experience in management role
