Job Summary:

Supermicro is looking for highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to create and improve manufacturing process for our cutting edge networking products. The individual will be responsible for facilitate improvement projects and Kaizen (Rapid Continuous Improvement) events to eliminate waste while increase efficiency in various functional areas in manufacturing (manufacturing processes, yield improvements and cycle time improvements). The ideal candidate will require skill sets to break down complex operations with a process-oriented mindset, analyze data and assist in the implementation of strategic plans, provide project management support, employee training and development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

• Assists in capacity and resource planning for the production lines, designs manufacturing processes within schedule and budget to improve efficiency

• Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space and tooling requirements, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency

• Work with cross functional teams to recommend manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes

• Effectively utilize lean manufacturing tools for continuously improve the flow of material and information in the factory including factory layouts and visual management

• Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions

• Implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability

Qualifications:


• Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing environment

• Proficient in soldering and using oscilloscope and multi-meter for troubleshooting

• Good electronic background and time management

• Basic knowledge of PC, System and Server operation and troubleshooting

• Familiarity with Windows or Linux

• In-depth knowledge in PCBA and soldering machines

• Solid communication skills both verbal and written in English
