Job Summary:

Supermicro Headquarter in San Jose California is currently seeking a Test Engineer to join our fasting growing company. This individual will be required to work cross-department and assist research and development teams and product managers as needed in product development tasks. In this role, you will review product requirements, develop new or modified process formulations, defines peocessing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, test and debug products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


• Perform power supply testing, prototype modification, computer system and power supply characteristics testing as instructed

• System and power supply level troubleshooting

• Review and perform power supply failure analysis with report

• Work with cross-functional teams for system testing and assist in product development

• Be familiar with power supply product specification, characteristic, performance, reliability testing procedure and board level prototyping

• Operate system and power supply testing equipment and oscilloscopes

• Generate test report and record the complete test process, configuration, findings, waveforms, and results

• Modify power supply prototypes as instructed and soldering duties will be involved

• Perform product thermal testing as instructed and operate thermal chamber

Qualifications:


• Bachelor's Degree in EE or equivalent with 1 to 2 years of experience as a test engineer or related field

• Knowledge of PC, system and server operation

• Strong troubleshooting skills

• Familiar with Microsoft Office and be able to generate test report

• Experience and basic knowledge of computer and server hardware and architecture

• Experience with power supply or server system

• Experience with I2C, SPI, communication protocol is a plus

• Familiar with using oscilloscope

• Strong attention to detail, including accuracy and thoroughness

• Solid communications skills both verbal and written

• Electronics, digital and components knowledge background

• Able to work independently and be a good team player
