Job Summary:
We are looking for a Service Logistics Supervisor to support Supermicro Global Service network by managing service parts inventory and logistics globally. The candidate will be responsible for determining and ensuring that the right parts/equipment is delivered to the right locations, monitor and manage the stock levels and flow of goods, warehousing, etc. and will manage and improve the overall service related logistics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee global service inventory logistics with primary focus in US
- Review and help draft contracts with 3PL and service partners
- Review and source 3PL partners/brokers to facilitate and meet logistics demands for existing and new regions.
- Processing and reviewing spare parts provisioning
- Receiving, unpacking, delivering of server related goods
- Monitor and maintain inventory stock levels for service spare parts
- Processing invoices and purchase requests for service spare parts and depots
- Checking in and out spare parts
- Monitor, support and manage reverse logistics
- Review and resolve discrepancies on demand and on regular established intervals (monthly and quarterly)
- Document and improve processes for inventory control
- Routine administrative work including data entry, labeling, and inventory counting
- Work with various internal teams including accounting, shipping, and RMA to track and monitor the stock at all the service inventory locations and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Work with 3PL partners to resolve logistics issues and discrepancies
- Review and/or conduct audits on various processes with logistics partners such as storage, stock level management, and system configuration/records management.
- Manage importing/exporting requirements for moving equipment in and out of international depots and document processes.
- Review and analyze the service related logistics to determine and recommend improvements.
- Determine the right parts and appropriate stock level based on the equipment configurations and guidelines.
- Compile file inventory reports both on periodic and demand basis.
- Prepare a periodic report on inventory status and logistics challenges/recommendations for management review.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in logistics is preferred.
- Experience in importing/exporting and international logistics is preferred.
- Experience and familiarity with quality control processes is preferred.
- Experience in the service industry is preferred.
- Experience in the IT industry is a plus.
- Work logically and systematically.
- Must be punctual and detail-oriented.
- Good time management.
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions as necessary.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
