Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Role Summary
Supermicro is seeking a strategic and seasoned Sr. Director to lead Technology Enablement for our ODM business in Taiwan. This executive role will build and lead two key functions within the Technology Enablement team: a Product Management team and an ODM/PCBA team. While the two functions have distinct focuses, they are closely interrelated and will collaborate to drive seamless technology enablement and execution.
Reporting directly to the executive at our Headquarters, you will oversee a large, multi-disciplinary organization responsible for securing and managing high-value ODM opportunities that power the future of Supermicro’s global data center and AI business. This role combines deep product strategy with hands-on manufacturing partnership leadership in Taiwan’s dynamic electronics ecosystem.
The responsibilities will include, but not limited to
• Build, develop, and lead the Product Management and ODM/PCBA functions within the Technology Enablement organization, shaping the team from strategy through execution while fostering strong inter-team collaboration
• Act as the primary executive owner for Supermicro’s Taiwan-based ODM initiatives, ensuring full alignment with global corporate strategies and technology roadmap priorities
• Oversee the day-to-day of a multi-functional team to deliver innovative, scalable customer solutions
• Enable high-impact ODM business opportunities with key end customers, cultivating sustainable, multi-year strategic relationships that expand Supermicro’s presence in Hyperscale, Enterprise, and AI markets
• Establish and rigorously monitor KPIs across PCBA manufacturing quality, cost optimization, time-to-market (TTM) efficiency, and product roadmap execution
• Drive cross-functional alignment between the Product Management and ODM/PCBA teams to ensure product requirements are tightly integrated with manufacturing capabilities and partner ecosystems
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical fields
• 17+ years of experience in the IT, server, or semiconductor industry, with at least 7+ years in senior leadership roles managing large, complex, multi-functional organizations
• Strong background in PCBA manufacturing processes, server architecture, and technology product management
• Proven success in business development and managing complex executive-level partnership ecosystems
• Demonstrated ability to build and scale new functions/teams from the ground up
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills in both English and Mandarin, with the ability to effectively bridge Taiwan operations and US-based headquarters leadership
• Executive presence and ability to command respect and influence at the C-suite level, both internally and with external partners
