Job Summary:

Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking talented Sr. Firmware Engineer will be responsible for developing world class firmware to fully maximize the strong hardware architecture of in-house servers. We are looking for talented individuals who enjoy creating firmware for networking products, prototyping concepts, and investigating in new technologies. In this position, the candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust networking products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain BMC software solutions for Supermicro products
  2. Develop customized features
  3. Perform code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure high quality and reliable BMC software. 
  4. Work closely with the software and hardware teams.

Qualifications:

  1. BS in EE or CS/CE preferred
  2. 3+ of the following requirements should be matched: 
    (1) Strong programming skills in C/C++, Linux Shell, Python, and Java Scripts.
    (2) Experience in IPMI development for 3+ years.
    (3) Experience in Linux or Windows Driver for 3+ years.
    (4) Experience in embedded or Linux vulnerability discovery or malware detection.
    (5) Knowledge in Management interfaces: Redfish, IPMI, SNMP, SSH, WebUI
    (6) Knowledge in some protocols: PECI, I2C, SPI, PMBUS, eMMC, MCTP (3 of them)
