Job Summary:

Supermicro is looking for an entry-level mechanical engineer to join our product management team, supporting the mechanical design of in-house server chassis.  In this role, you will collaborate closely with the product engineering and management team to oversee the chassis development cycle, reviewing the mechanical design and mechanical placements to ensure the design is robust and efficient.

This position will be in our headquarters located in San Jose, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute mechanical design of liquid cooling solutions
  • Communicate with internal and external department to solve issues and make sure can meet target on time
    - Capable to find out adequate resource & solutions to deliver fastest response to customers
    - Excellent teamwork and communication (verbal and writing) skills
    - Show initiatives and has strong drive for customer satisfaction
    - Systematically & logically thinking and do support management
  • Mechanical solution consulting & designing
    - Cooler design, heat sink, cold plate, CDU, heat pipe, Fans, heat exchanger, HVAC, cooling tower and so on.
    - Vendor management
    - New technology study

Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years industry experience in mechanical design
  2. Prefer to have 3+ years chassis (sheet metal) design experience using mechanical 3D software tools (Creo, Solidworks...etc) as plus
  3. Working knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
  4. Bachelor's or Master Degree preferably in mechanical engineering related
  5. Excellent teamwork and communication (verbal and writing) skills
  6. Show initiatives and has strong drive for customer satisfaction
  7. Systematically & logically thinking and do support management
