Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Strong knowledge of server system architecture, mechanical design, and DFM reviews during early project development.
2. Solid understanding of industry standards and specifications, including EIA, OCP, PCIe, and other server platform design requirements.
3. Ability to validate component 3D models and create accurate 3D/2D CAD drawings.
4. Strong understanding of material properties and manufacturing processes for mechanical DFM reviews.
5. Ability to identify and resolve mechanical design issues while collaborating with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
6. Experience in system-level interference checks, tolerance analysis, and design optimization.
7. Lead cross-functional teams in system layout, component placement, cable routing, and interference studies.
8. Conduct system-level design risk assessments, FMEA, and drive issue resolution to ensure product reliability and manufacturability.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field.
2. 10+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 8+ years with a master’s degree.
3. 10+ years of experience in server system mechanical design is highly preferred.
4. Proficient in Creo, AutoCAD, or other 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
5. Solid understanding of server mechanical architecture, manufacturing processes, and DFM/DFMEA.
6. Strong ability to interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
7. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills.
8. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
