Job Summary:

Our Production team is in need of a Sr. Production Quality Engineer to collect quality metrics for products with an aim in practicing and executing design feedback for manufacturing, product quality improvement management, covering post-sales product quality and services support, and customer satisfaction. The Sr. Production Quality Engineer is primary responsible for the quality functions covering supply chain and incoming quality, and in-house manufacturing quality, product reliability and performance quality. The individual will work with the senior management of the global production operations in establishing quality-focus teams, mandating standard practices of quality principles, and will attend to the oversight responsibility to all global operations sites, cross-functional departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for handling material quality issues caused by suppliers.
• Provide timely feedback on quality problems to the supplier's quality window.
• Conduct preliminary failure analysis of materials using 5W1H to assist the supplier in identifying the root cause.
• Responsible for tracking the progress of supplier’s improvement.
• Responsible for tracking supplier’s improvement report and confirming supplier’s improvement results.
• Conduct supplier QPA/QSA audits and provide comments when necessary.
• Assist the buyer with material quality and technical support.
• Confirming and aligning material specification and outgoing appearance criteria with suppliers in the early stages.
• Maintain Quality issue reports and maintenance records.
• Process knowledge and skill related to manufacturing processes for system-level components.
• Process knowledge and skill related to server L6 ~ L11 manufacturing processes and handling component quality issues.

Qualifications:

• Education and/or Experience: BSEE, MSEE, BSME or BSIE

• Language Skills: English, Chinese

• Strong background and experience with quality management and issue handling

• Experience and skill in plastic material, Mechanical parts, and Server level material quality issue handling.

• More than 5 years of experience in computer/storage server or data center industry.
