Sr. Thermal Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize, plan, and execute the design and development of cooling solutions for server platforms.
• Verify thermal compliance of systems and components with regards to industry standards.
• Manage thermal team for measurements and analysis of cooling systems and components.
• Manage and present lab results to engineering teams, vendors, and customers.
• Investigate and identify new techniques to advance thermal developments and validations.
• Collaborate with HW, ME, Lab and PM teams for system designs and environmental tests.
• Interface with contract vendors for product developments and improvement recommendations
• Responsible for thermal verification of Air/liquid cooling module and system.
• The Air/liquid cooling modules 2d/3d design.
• Heatsink supplier management.

Qualifications:

• BA/MS in ME/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent training with minimum 3+ years related experience.
• Experience working as a thermal, mechanical, or validation engineer in computer or electronics cooling development.
• Computer system level thermal testing or validation experience including thermocouple installations, automated data acquisitions, and related lab equipment operations.
• Experience in heat sink and air shroud/fan duct designs, cooling fan/blower selections.
• Experience in liquid-cooling solution design of server products or liquid-cooling integration of datacenter.
• Experience in system thermal simulation via Flotherm / Flotherm XT / STAR CCM+.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
