Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design & Simulation: Lead conceptual/detailed thermal design of custom RDHx doors; perform rigorous CFD to optimize fluid flow and minimize coil pressure drops.
  • Component Selection: Optimize coolant routing and select fluid components like quick-disconnects, hoses, and manifolds to ensure leak-free reliability.
  • Validation & Testing: Plan and execute comprehensive lab flow-loop and wind-tunnel experiments to calibrate simulation models.
  • Facility Integration: Act as the primary technical interface to align RDHx design with data center facility infrastructure (HVAC, secondary chilled water loops).
  • Vendor Management: Partner with coil and component vendors to review DFM and drive cost reductions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s/Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal/Fluid Sciences, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5+ years in electronics cooling with a solid track record in liquid cooling components or heat exchangers (RDHx, liquid-to-air/liquid-to-liquid).
  • Software: Highly proficient in CFD simulation tools like Simcenter Flotherm, ANSYS Icepak, or Fluent.
  • Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of thermodynamics, single-phase heat transfer, and pressure drop control. Familiarity with data center facilities is a big plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking and proactive communication skills to effectively interface with cross-functional teams, global vendors, and customers.
