Job Summary:

We are excited to recruit for a Staff Hardware Design Engineer who have passion on board level hardware design. In this role, you will have opportunity to collaborate with different engineers, design, debug and document. You will be working with some of the best and brightest engineers, so we expect you to amaze us with your strong interest and knowledge in this field.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Lead the hardware design and development efforts for switch products.

2. Define product specifications and requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

3. Design and implement schematic diagrams and PCB layouts for switch hardware.

4. Conduct thorough testing and validation of hardware designs to ensure quality and reliability.

5. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior hardware engineers.

6. Collaborate with software and firmware teams to integrate hardware components into overall product architecture.

7. Analyze and troubleshoot hardware issues throughout the product lifecycle.

8. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in switch hardware design.

9. Document design specifications, test plans, and validation results.

10. Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in hardware design for networking or telecommunications products.
  3. Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout software (e.g., Altium Designer).
  4. Strong knowledge of digital and analog circuit design principles.
  5. Experience with high-speed interfaces, signal integrity analysis, and power management.
  6. Familiarity with FPGA and microcontroller-based designs.
  7. Solid understanding of industry standards such as Ethernet, PCIe, and DDR.
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  9. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  10. Proven leadership experience in guiding hardware development projects from concept to production.
