Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems, components, and products
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team, ensuring best practices in mechanical design and development
- Oversee the creation of detailed design specifications, engineering calculations, and analysis to ensure products meet all performance, safety, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and incorporate new technologies into product designs
- Evaluate and select materials, processes, and suppliers to optimize product performance and cost
- Work with production line and engineering team to resolve issues in daily production -- identify root cause and improve quality
- Conduct risk assessments and failure mode analyses to ensure the reliability and durability of products
Qualifications:
- BS/MS in ME, or Engineering equivalent, with minimum of 12+ years of engineering experience in mechanical design or validation field is desirable.
- Solid understanding of usability & DFM methodology is a big plus
- In-depth Knowledge of 3D modeling software, such as SolidWorks, Cero, AutoCAD, etc.
- Solid experiences in server and mechanical system architecture and relevant computer peripherals is a must
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, able to work in a self-directed environment
- Strong communication skill in both verbal and written, able to communicate effectively in a team environment
