Job Summary:

Supermicro Computer is currently looking for talented System Validation Engineer to partner with Hardware Designing team to validate in-house servers and workstation platforms, troubleshoot and detect any problem of current validation project. The candidate will be responsible to provide technical specifications, build testing configurations to verify systems' stability and reliability. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with both internal engineering and product team on various projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform network switch and server system application validation testing.
2. Perform server NIC configuration and network performance testing.
3. Familiar with network interface, ethernet and InfiniBand.
4. Familiar with TCP/IP Layer 2, Layer 3, VLAN, IPv6, Data Center Bridge.
5. Familiar with Linux and SONiC OS.
6. Familiar with basic commands: Cisco, HP, Aruba.
7. Report hardware and software quality assurance issues into bug tracking systems.
8. Duplicate customer's issue if needed.

Qualifications:

1.   Education and/or Experience: Bachelor or above; Knowledge of TCP/IP Layer 2, Layer3 or above; Write test script for automation
      test; Knowledge of Server/PC architecture.
2.   Performance utility: IxChariot, iperf, netperf, nuttcp, NTTTCP...etc; Test script: BASH, Python.
3.   Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CCNA, LPI/RHCE are considered a plus.
