Job Summary:

Supermicro Computer is currently looking for talented System Validation Engineer to partner with Hardware Designing team to validate in-house servers and workstation platforms, troubleshoot and detect any problem of current validation project. The candidate will be responsible to provide technical specifications, build testing configurations to verify systems' stability and reliability. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with both internal engineering and product team on various projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Perform validation testing for motherboards and server system applications.
  2. Execute motherboard and hardware functionality and compatibility validation cross various operating systems, including Linux and Windows.
  3. Collaborate with customers and product management to understand production use cases and advanced functionality requirements.
  4. Demonstrate familiarity with HPC, data center infrastructure, networking architecture, and system mechanics.
  5. Possess expert-level technical knowledge in designing and implementing server systems.
  6. Experience with GPU validation test, ideally CUDA, ROCm and OpenCL .
  7. Analyze and diagnose the causes of DIAG test failures and perform troubleshooting.
  8. Integrate NVIDIA GPU drivers, CUDA Toolkit, NCCL and other parallel computing tools to verify performance.
  9. Study in deep learning, graphs, machine learning, and data analytics, and perform in-depth analysis and optimization to ensure the best possible performance on current and next-generation GPU architectures.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  2. Familiarity with server and computer architecture.
  3. Basic knowledge of Linux Operating Systems
  4. Working independently.
  5. Experience with GPUs, familiar CUDA and OpenCL
  6. Good communication and organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management, and task prioritization skills.
