Job Summary:

Super Micro Computer, Inc. is currently seeking a driven and dedicated QA/Automation Engineer to full functionality and the highest quality of our web applications. The successful candidate will be obsessed with quality improvement and automating tests for regression and new features. You will work closely with various stakeholders from Web, UX/UI, Engineering, and Product Management to understand feature requirements and user experience goals, turning these into comprehensive test plans. You will have ownership of testing methodologies, tools, and devices, for which you will need to maintain and improve over time. Strong communication, positive energy and independent thinking is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement processes for testing web and internally developed platform systems.
• Identify, report, and regress front-end and back-end defects (bugs).
• Own end-to-end platform test automation framework for all products.
• Choose various tools for testing, stay up-to-date with new tools and strategies.
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities across multiple teams.
• Test across multiple devices and operating systems; Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, etc.
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
• Audit web performance & monitor potential issues using Google Analytics, mPulse or similar data sources.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in CS/EE or equivalent experience
• 3+ years’ experience testing web and mobile-responsive experiences on a wide-range of web browsers, operating systems, and devices
• Strong knowledge of both manual and automated testing
• Basic knowledge of web security
• Experience testing RESTful APIs and backend services
• Experience writing test scripts in various scripting languages (ex. Javascript, Python, Go Lang)
• Experience with bug/task tracking software
• Familiarity with Content Management Systems (ex. Drupal, Wordpress) preferred
• Proficient with web debugger tools (ex. Chrome DevTools, Safari Web Developer Tools)
• Experience with QA tools (ex. Ghost inspector, Test Rail, Selenium, Browser Stack)
• Experience working with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) preferred
• Experience with CI software preferred
• Experience with performing scalability and load testing of APIs and services preferred
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development methodology preferred
