Job Summary:

As a global leader in networking solution innovation, Super Micro Computer's mission is to develop and provide the market with end-to end computing solution and high performance networking products. We have an immediate need for a Hardware Design Engineer to join our talented and bright design team. The candidate will play a key role in the development process of in-house server motherboards, by working collaboratively with cross-functional engineering team as well as outside partners to ensure the robust design of the boards. The candidate must be self-motivated and possess a strong will to do great things, with a result-driven mindset to develop the most competitive and endurance board products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create schematics, conduct layout checks, create BOM, perform debugging, and oversee testing of server board/add-on card products.
• Undertake the modification and enhancement of existing designs to elevate the quality standards of server motherboards.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to identify and address potential engineering issues at an early stage, ensuring products achieve their maximum quality and performance potential.
• Generate comprehensive technical documentation, encompassing product specifications, layout instructions, and detailed test procedures.
• Ensure strict adherence of products to engineering specifications, regulatory standards, and customer expectations.
• Facilitate the seamless transfer of products to manufacturing through clear documentation and provide technical support to resolve any challenges during the production phase.
• Deliver clear documentation and robust technical support to contract manufacturers and the production department during both product sampling and production stages.
• Undertake short-term business trips as necessary to provide support for headquarters projects.

Qualifications:

• • • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (EE)
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with x86 server boards is advantageous
    • Profound understanding of circuit design (digital, analog, power) and PCB layout
    • Highly valued: Previous experience in motherboard design for enterprise networking servers
    • Demonstrated strong communication skills, both written and oral, along with effective interpersonal abilities
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
    • Exceptional organizational skills and problem-solving capabilities
    • Self-motivated individual with a team-oriented mindset, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
