Job Summary:

Supermicro Computer's Hardware Designing team is looking for an experienced technical manager with extensive board design knowledge to be involved in the design and development of motherboards - which is the core component of our server products. Through closely collaborating, our Hardware Design Manager will work with cross-functional teams to design high performance and cutting edge motherboards which build upon the fundamental of our data center products. In addition, the Hardware Design Manager will provide strong leadership and mentorship to ensure the team will shine under his/her leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

 

• Responsible for build 2+ people team and lead team to accomplish department target.
• Responsible for or help to create/study specifications, find solutions including select parts and vendors, schematics drawing, layout checking, BOM creation, debugging and testing of motherboard/add-on card for project needs.
• Collaborate with function team including PM, Purchaser, layout/BIOS/SW/ME/LAB/Production engineers to solve any engineering issues and ensure the product quality.
• Co-work and communicate with vendors, customers when project needs.
• Create fluent technical documentation including product specifications, layout guidelines, test procedures, etc.
• Resolve complicated issues and drive to root cause on critical engineering problems.
• Provide clear documents and technical support to C.M. and production department during product sample and mass production stages.
• Solve issues in project maintenance stage.

Qualifications:

• Education and/or Experience: EE bachelor’s degree and 10+ years Server/IOT/Laptop HW design experience
• Language Skills: Chinese in Common, English in Common
• 5+ people team manage experience preferred.
• Power solution design experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills
