Product Manager / Purchasing Associate Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing & Pricing Optimization:

1. Lead procurement efforts for Micron DRAM modules, SSDs, and server software, ensuring competitive pricing and optimal product selection to enhance Supermicro’s cost structure and market edge.
2. Integrate global memory and SSD requirements to recommend the best technical combinations, directly improving pricing competitiveness and product performance.
3. Develop and implement effective sourcing and negotiation strategies to secure high-quality components at competitive prices.
4. Global Supply & Production Synchronization:
5. Act as the strategic interface between SMC HQ, MY and TWN to synchronize global demand and supply signals.
6. Align material planning with aggressive production schedules across all global sites to ensure supply continuity.
7. Coordinate with PGM (Program Management) teams to ensure procurement timelines consistently meet project deadlines and customer expectations.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Promotion:
9. Collaborate closely with Sales, PM, and Engineering teams to identify and win key AI projects by aligning product strategies with customer requirements.
10. Bridge cross-departmental gaps by facilitating technical communication to enhance the internal understanding and selection of key components.
11. Proactively promote strategic commodities and software solutions internally to shift the team's focus from reactive fulfillment to proactive market positioning.
12. Market Intelligence & Supplier Management:
13. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and technical roadmaps (e.g., Micron’s latest technology) to adjust procurement strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
14. Manage and strengthen relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply, superior quality, and timely delivery.
15. Leadership & Reporting:
16. Fostering a high-performance culture and shifting the departmental focus toward proactive commodity management.
17. Provide regular reports to executive management regarding procurement status, project milestones, and sales performance impact.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement, with a strong focus on DRAM and SSD products. Bachelor's degree or above.

2. Proven track record in driving promotional strategies and leading teams to achieve sales targets and business objectives.

3. In-depth knowledge of DRAM and SSD technologies, market trends, and supply chain dynamics.

4. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams to meet performance goals.

5. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, capable of establishing and maintaining relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.

6. Ability to analyze market data and trends to make informed procurement decisions that enhance competitive positioning.

7. Strong understanding of product promotion, pricing strategies, and market positioning to drive growth.

8. Experience in managing product portfolios, from sourcing to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement processes.

9. Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
