Job Summary:

The security analyst must possess knowledge of every aspect of information security in the company. The main job is to support the Information Security solutions and analyze the security measures of the company and how effective they are. The security analyst must work with Information Technology (IT), business administrators as well as other IT professionals in communicating vulnerabilities and gaps in company systems, and recommended changes that will improve every aspect of company Information Security posture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the support and maintenance of current security system and solutions
  • Monitor reports, systems, logs of alerts for suspicious and malicious activity
  • Ensuring all networks have adequate security to prevent unauthorized access
  • Develop reports to share with administrators about the adequate security controls, policies violations and recommend changes to remediate any deficiencies
  • Organize and conduct training for all employees regarding company security and information safeguarding
  • Conduct initial investigation of suspicious activity and escalates as needed
  • Ensure that all security systems are current with any software or hardware changes in the company
  • Perform vulnerabilities and security scanning on mobile endpoints, servers and networks gear
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Follow up on security mitigations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent experiences.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience in information security environment, with prior experiences in high-tech corporate environment preferred
  • Knowledge of cyber security framework and best practices
  • Knowledge of Endpoint solution (EDR), Network Detection Response (NDR) and Extended Detection Response (XDR)
  • Knowledge of Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Vulnerability Assessment Tools, Proxy Server, Security Incident and Event Management Systems, Data Loss Prevention, Active Directory and Permissions Management
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Certifications in the following is highly preferred – GIAC, CISSP, SSCP, etc.
