Job Summary:

Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking talented Sr. Firmware Engineer will be responsible for developing world class firmware to fully maximize the strong hardware architecture of in-house servers. We are looking for talented individuals who enjoy creating firmware for networking products, prototyping concepts, and investigating in new technologies. In this position, the candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust networking products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Job need to design Supermicro Enterprise Product server OpenBMC FW features and create standard software flow.
Implement/Reproduce/Analyze/Verify customer requirements and issues.
You will work closely with internal software development to come out good firmware infrastructure and develop proprietary OpenBMC for optimums firmware process on Supermicro.
Assist in managing redfish standardization projects and proprietary implementations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in firmware development.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and JavaScript programming, with solid experience in embedded Linux development.
  • Strong knowledge of kernel, device drivers, uBoot, Redfish, IPMI protocols, ARM processors, virtual media, and web server development.
  • Familiarity with software/hardware communication protocols such as I3C, I2C, USB, UART, PECI, MCTP, SPDM, PLDM, StorLib, NVMe-MI, NCSI, IPv6, HTTPS, etc.
  • Knowledge of Intel, AMD, and ARM server platforms, system management architecture, and end-to-end solutions.
  • Understanding of firmware security concepts and best practices.
  • Experience with OpenBMC is highly desirable.
