Job Summary:

Super Micro Computer, Inc. is looking for Sr. Electrical Engineer who will be part of the development team to improve the quality and efficiency of our products. This individual will work as part of a highly motivated team environment, and will collaborate with cross-functional project teams making up a larger program or development effort. We are large enough to encompass a breadth of possibilities but nimble enough for you to be noticed and recognized.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

• Responsible for schematics capture review, layout checking, BOM generating, and debugging and testing of server mother boards / add-on cards / backplane products

• Perform debugging, tuning, failure analysis, and risk assessment to prevent technical issues

• Prepare technical documentation including design rules, bug history, product specifications, layout instructions, test procedures, etc.

• RMA (Return Merchandize Authorization) and ECO (Engineering Change Order) quality review, improvement and research; establish standard and design rules for Design Quality check to ensure continuous quality improvement

• Provide the clear documents and strong technical supports to the contract manufacturers and production department during the product sample and production stages

Qualifications:

• BSEE or MSEE is preferred

• Minimum of 7 years experience on board-level design with in-depth knowledge of X86 architecture preferred

• Comprehensive knowledge on the PCB layout, debugging tools and software, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.

• Quick learning and outstanding problem-solving capabilities; Excellent working quality and productivity

• Self-motivated and enthusiastic on working in fast-paced environment
