Job Summary:

Supermicro is looking for Solution Architect to grow and expand the business opportunities of in-house storage solutions from a technical perspective.  Your goal is to engage, develop, and expand our customer portfolio in the storage system solutions.  In this role, you will be representing Supermicro in major trade shows and conferences to network and meet with clients, and further developing the opportunity pipelines.  You will also participate in products and solutions design, ensure new products incorporated the expectations and requirements from customers to increase business opportunity. 

This role will be based on our headquarters located in the San Jose, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Driver the definition, planning and feature prioritization for BIOS, BMC software and Open Source on motherboard and system products 

2. Support and grow relations with Enterprise customers using technical presentations - Drive features around BIOS, BMC & dependent firmware and software

3. Co-work with peer HW Product Management teams, designers and other development team to define our product strategy around remote management

4. Work across different HW, FW and SW departments/groups to identify and resolve technical issues

5. Establish and manage a schedule to activities, milestones and deliverable for our products 6. Monitor progress across the groups responsibility for the feature area

7. Work with Sales and marketing to develop and maintain a customer / partner product promotion programs

8. Evangelize and work with 3rd party developers / partner / customers in developing out Software, acting as the primary point of contact

9. Perform other tasks as needed within the business

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree (Master degree is preferred) in Engineering (EE, Computer Science (CS), or Computer Engineering (CE)) related or equivalent practical experience.

2. A minimum of 10 years of experience in computer firmware and software development or management, or other similar technical position.

3. At least 5 years of Product Management and Technical Product Manager Experience

4. Demonstrated experience in managing support questions around BIOS

5. Strong technical comprehension of software around hardware security, industry standard management specifications

6. Experience in development of software processes

7. Excellent verbal and written communication and leadership skills

8. Demonstrated ability to manage terms of peers across a functional team

9. Ability to multi-task against disparate project and timelines to provide comprehensive support and completion to all the moving parts of each project

10. Strong technical, people and organizational skills

11. Comfortable with architecting solutions along with Fellows and Architectures from Tier 1 organizations across the Globe.

12. It’s a nice attribute if you have capabilities to contribute and work with Industry Standards body such as DMTF and influence decisions behalf of Supermicro - Ability to proactively identify upcoming risks, issues and bottlenecks
