Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies while collaborating closely with marketing, engineering, and business development teams to deliver complete, end-to-end solutions for customers.
  • Leverage a strong technical background to create solution-oriented product requirements, focusing on hyperscale datacenters, cloud computing, HPC, virtualization, software-defined storage, and AI infrastructure.
  • Engage with customers at all organizational levels—including executives, engineering teams, and product marketing staff—to communicate Supermicro’s capabilities, address challenges, and gather customer requirements.
  • Consult with clients to assess their specific needs before initiating or recommending solutions.
  • Act as a creative thinker and problem solver, developing innovative strategies and customized solutions for customer projects.
  • Build strong, credible relationships with customers, including executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment with their goals and objectives.
  • Escalate critical issues to senior management and key vendors when necessary to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Provide technical training to internal teams, sales representatives, and customers to enhance their understanding of Supermicro’s solutions.
  • Offer third-level customer support to both internal teams and external clients as required.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in system/server/datacenter architecture.
  • Proven leadership abilities, including the capacity to lead global, cross-functional teams and drive product excellence.
  • Strong experience in product marketing and/or product management, with demonstrated success managing end-to-end product development cycles, from order to delivery, implementation, and customer qualification.
  • Deep understanding of computer architecture and vertical domain expertise.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, promote solutions, and gather feedback.
  • Proficient in Linux operating systems such as Ubuntu, SUSE, Red Hat, and CentOS.
  • Experienced in virtualization, containerization, and storage technologies (e.g., VMware, VSAN, HCI, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes, CEPH, SDS).
  • Hands-on experience with AI, GPU technologies, and CUDA, with the ability to support proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of market trends and the ability to anticipate and respond effectively to customer needs.
  • Fluent in both English and Chinese (written and spoken).
  • Engineering background is a plus.
