Job Summary:
Supermicro is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Technical Inside Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving sales growth by providing technical expertise and support to our customers and field sales team, helping choose the right solutions for their business needs. This role requires a strong understanding of Supermicro’s hardware solutions, end-user workloads, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Technical Pre-Sales Support: Assist customers with product inquiries and provide detailed information on Supermicro’s server solutions, helping them make informed purchasing decisions.
- Quotation & Proposal Creation: Generate and deliver accurate price quotations, proposals, and product configurations based on customer requirements.
- Account Management: Manage and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of Supermicro’s product lines, including servers, storage solutions, and components, to effectively communicate their features and benefits to customers.
- Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the outside sales team and product management to identify customer needs, market trends, and sales opportunities.
- Technical Consultation: Work closely with field application engineering teams to provide technical solutions and resolve product-related issues for customers.
- Training & Development: Participate in ongoing technical training to stay up to date on the latest industry developments, technologies, and Supermicro product offerings.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments including marketing, engineering, and supply chain to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in technical sales, inside sales, or sales engineering, preferably in the IT or hardware industry.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of server technology, competitive offerings, data center infrastructure, storage solutions, networking, and related components.
- Sales Skills: Proven ability to manage customer accounts, meet sales targets, and KPIs
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Customer Focused: Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with customers and provide exceptional service.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to solving technical and business-related issues.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Salary Range
$75,000 - $106,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
