Director, Business Development - Enterprise DACH
Date: Sep 10, 2026
Location: Germany - Munich
Company: Super Micro Computer
Job Req ID: 29890
About Supermicro:
Supermicro® is a Top Tier provider of advanced server, storage, and networking solutions for Data Center, Cloud Computing, Enterprise IT, Hadoop/ Big Data, Hyperscale, HPC and IoT/Embedded customers worldwide. We are amongst the fastest growing company among the Silicon Valley Top 50 technology firms. Our unprecedented global expansion has provided us with the opportunity to offer many new positions to the technology community. We seek talented, passionate, and committed engineers, technologists, and business leaders to join us to drive accelerated growth and technology-led innovation in the global marketplace.
Job Summary:
AI is moving out of the hyperscalers and into the enterprise. In DACH, that means manufacturers, automotive, financial services, pharma and the public sector building their own AI capacity on their own terms: on-premises, sovereign and energy-efficient. Supermicro has the technology, from GPU servers to liquid-cooled rack-scale systems. We're looking for the person who opens the door to those enterprises and builds the ecosystem that wins them.
This is not a quota-carrying sales overlay. It's a strategic business development role. You build the market, the relationships and the pipeline that turn Supermicro into a long-term enterprise partner in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build Supermicro's enterprise presence in DACH from the ground up: target accounts, C-level access, and a pipeline of strategic AI and data-center opportunities.
- Engage CIOs, CTOs and heads of infrastructure at DAX, MDAX and leading Mittelstand companies, as well as major Swiss and Austrian enterprises, on their AI and infrastructure strategy.
- Develop and activate the local ecosystem of system integrators, distributors, VARs, ISVs, and colocation and sovereign cloud providers so that every enterprise opportunity has the right partners to deliver it.
- Position Supermicro around the themes that drive enterprise deals in DACH: data sovereignty, regulatory compliance (EU AI Act, GDPR, NIS2), energy efficiency, and liquid cooling.
- Work closely with NVIDIA and other technology partners on joint go-to-market in the region.
- Hand off qualified, well-structured opportunities to sales and remain the strategic owner of the customer relationship.
- Represent Supermicro at industry events, customer briefings, and partner forums across the region.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years in enterprise technology, with a proven record of opening and growing strategic accounts at global infrastructure, software, or cloud companies.
- Experience building a business or a market, not just running an existing one. You have done this before, and you can show the results.
- A strong personal network among enterprise decision-makers and the partner ecosystem in DACH.
- A thorough understanding of how enterprises in the region buy: long cycles, consensus decisions, works councils, procurement, and the weight of references.
- Knowledge of data-center, HPC, or AI infrastructure. You don't need to be an engineer, but you can hold your own in a technical conversation.
- Fluent German and English.
- Credibility at the C-level, patience for complex deals, and the drive to move quickly in a fast-growing company.
What we offer
- A senior, visible role at the center of the enterprise AI build-out in Europe.
- The chance to shape how Supermicro goes to market in DACH, with direct access to EMEA and global leadership.
- An experienced, pure-BD team whose success is measured by building pipeline and winning new logos.
- A competitive compensation package and a start in Q1 2027.
