Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee all building-related activities. You will be responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensure that facilities are safe and well functioning. The ideal candidate will be well-organized and able to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs. Leadership abilities and phenomenal efficiency can set you apart among our candidate pool. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and participate in the day-to-day operations of facilities which include, but not limited to facilities maintenance, move coordination, security and space planning

• Manage and interact with outside vendors for various services

• Participate in annual budget planning

• Project management oversight and active participation in office construction projects

• Maintain all equipment warranty information

• Responsible for the overall coordination of fire safety and schedule fire drills as required by local codes

• Responsible for all phases of the building's operation and to respond to any emergencies in a manner which not only instills confidence in both the employees and the occupants, but also results in a minimum amount of discomfort, damage or injury to persons, equipment and other property. Must be available after hours and on weekend for emergency and other unscheduled situations and events

• Manage the timely delivery of facility projects, i.e., moving, space planning, property management internal service, energy management, ergonomics, recycling; This is a hands-on position

• Manage projects with fiscal responsibility tied to financial results, cost control, corporate occupancy objectives

• Manage and provide recommendations on long range facilities planning, security and safety management

• Develop policies for SMC facilities which include compliance requirements, license applications, safety, injury and illness prevention, including training for employees

• Supervise all maintenance work and repairs of HVAC, electrical, janitorial, etc.; other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree and a minimum of 3 years experience as a Facilities Manager preferred 

• Strong listening and analytical skills necessary to resolve intricate staffing issues

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Strong interpersonal traits including confidence, responsiveness, flexibility, initiative, decision making, conflict resolution, and tact

• Ability to work independently and as a team member

• Extensive interaction with all levels of personnel and can work well under pressure

• Ability to work with confidential information

• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
