Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking a dedicated Environmental Occupational Safety and Health Manager to ensure regulatory compliance and safety excellence at our facilities in Malaysia. This pivotal role involves overseeing adherence to Malaysian Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and Environmental Quality Act requirements, obtaining necessary permits and certifications, and managing safety, health, and environmental programs. The ideal candidate must possession of the Green Book certification, and will lead initiatives to promote workplace safety, environmental sustainability, and employee wellness while fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement. Strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with stakeholders are essential for success in this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure strict compliance with Malaysian OSHA regulations and Environmental Quality Act.
• Gain and maintain necessary certifications like Certificate of Completion and Bomba.
• Adhere to Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) standards and ISO requirements for safety, health, and environmental management.
• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to reduce workplace hazards and accidents.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and correct safety issues.
• Coordinate with authorities for regulatory inspections and certifications.
• Oversee health programs to promote employee wellness and prevent occupational illnesses.
• Work with medical professionals and management to address health concerns and implement measures.
• Develop strategies to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainability.
• Monitor environmental performance indicators and implement measures to meet goals.
• Ensure compliance with ISO environmental management standards.
• Organize training sessions on safety protocols, environmental awareness, and compliance.
• Lead investigations into workplace incidents or environmental breaches, ensuring documentation and regulatory reporting.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate hazards, including emergency response plans.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and stakeholders, collaborating with departments to integrate safety and environmental considerations into operations.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field, with minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in manufacturing industry.

Certification from recognized bodies such as the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Malaysia or the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Malaysia is often preferred. Examples of relevant certifications include Certified Environmental Professional (CEP), Certified Safety and Health Officer (CSHO), or equivalent.

A deep understanding of Malaysian OSH and environmental regulations, standards, and best practices is essential.

The ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders including government agencies, employees, contractors, and management is important for successful management of EOSH programs.
