Job Summary:

As the market leader in professional server solutions, Supermicro is seeking an experienced and innovative (Associate) Product Manager - Key Components that can help us grow our technologies into the parallel computing and hyper-converged spaces. This is a fast moving, emerging business, and successful candidates will be able to move and adapt quickly to changing needs, manage multiple initiatives, engage at all executive levels both inside Supermicro and with partners, and have proven track record of developing products as well as business model from the ground up. The successful candidate will be self-driven and passionate about bringing new solutions to market. This position will be located in the EMEA headquarters in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute procurement of assigned products based on MRP, sales forecasts, and market trends, provide on time material procurement and continuous improvement approach.
  • Monitor inventory levels against sales ratios and forecasts, adjusting procurement plans as needed based on changing trends and business needs.
  • Interact with different stakeholders internally (Product managers, Program managers, sales) to maintain a healthy inventory level, reduce slow-moving or excess inventory and promote responsible product to enlarge company business.
  • Seek, partner, and maintain relationships with reliable outside vendors and/or internal counterparts to manage stable supply and increase fulfilment rate of company’s focus product.
  • Conduct local sourcing and procurement execution to support supply chain efficiency and ensure availability meets project timelines.
  • Review supplier’s roadmap and pricing trend, recommend the most competitive solutions.
  • Maintain, improve and review vendor relationship and performance.
  • Regular Monthly and weekly stock and data maintenance & analysis.  
  • Other projects and tasks may be assigned based on business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years purchasing, sourcing, and planning related working experience.
  • Majoring in Engineering, supply chain management is preferred
  • Have work experience in IT industry is plus
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office applications and experienced in MRP/ ERP/ SAP.
  • Language skills: Professional fluency in English and Chinese (Listening, speaking, reading, writing).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, customer service skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Stress resistant. Able to work under pressure & challenges in fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with strong organization skills and result-oriented sense of work.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally.
