Job Summary:

Supermicro is growing and we are recruiting for an Accounting Manager, who will report to the Assistant Corporate Controller and is responsible for quality control of financial reporting, month end close, special accounting projects, system implementations and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and information system, an active CPA license and a combination of public accounting and industry experience with strong understanding of US GAAP. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review and ensure complete and accurate preparation of monthly account reconciliations including but not limited to Cash, Investments, Prepaid and other assets, PP&E, AP, Accruals and other liabilities, Opex and intercompany transactions.
• Lead international accounting and participate in the world-wide consolidation process.
• Coordinate with various business partners to obtain required internal financial reporting information and develop improvements to the reporting process
• Work with the accounting team on continuous optimization of the reporting process to streamline and shorten the month end closes
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, ensure they are in accordance with GAAP and adhered to in practice
• Design, implement and maintain accounting and system controls to ensure compliance with SOX 404
• Lead cross functional projects as requested including design of end-to-end processes, working with IT to test and implement systems
• Seek to continuously improve accounting processes and systems to gain efficiencies and apply best practices
• Support business and department goals and initiatives as needed
• Couch a small team of experienced accountants

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent.
• CPA required, MBA preferred
• Experience with a fast growing high-tech or hardware manufacturing company is preferred
• Previous auditing experience with a Big 4 or Regional public accounting firm is preferred
• Previous SOX experience highly valued
• Superior working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP experience highly valued).
• Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter with “can do” attitude and ability to multi-task while performing a variety of complex tasks
