Job Summary:

The AR Accountant will report to the Manager, Accounts Receivable & Billing Operations. This position's primary role is responsible for daily monitoring of AR transactions and performing aspects of monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting close process within the Accounts Receivable Department. This individual has the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Great interpersonal skills, excellent English verbal and written communication skills, ability to meet deadlines, ability to follow procedures accurately, strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure the account statement is up to date
  • Ensure that credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries
  • Assist with month-end closing
  • Supporting internal and external audit requirements
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or B.A in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong GAAP accounting, analytical and problem solving skills
  • SOX and Revenue recognition knowledge a strong plus
  • 3+ years of accounting and/or financial reporting from high growth firm in the high-tech manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of MS Office and SAP a plus
  • Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to effectively communicate, including written and oral, across all levels of the organization
  • Must be self-motivated, flexible, deadline-oriented and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • The ability to sustain productivity in a fast-paced environment, maintain composure and focus under pressure and deadline
