Job Summary:

Supermicro B.V. is seeking an Associate Product Engineer with strong background in server architecture and take ownership in its product development. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge in the market trend and partner with Product Manager to define product vision and strategy for server/system products. The candidate will also work with cross-functional engineering teams to perform new product development, test, validate, and fine-tuned to maximize the efficiency and durability of the product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting PM's with system-related aspects of PoC evaluations such as configuration and validation of the component.
  • Working with cross functional teams such as purchasing and warehouse to obtain parts for PoC evaluations.
  • Assisting in the preparation and delivery of the system to test site lab manager.
  • Assisting PM's and test site lab manager with the trouble shooting of any system or network related issues during the PoC test.
  • Setting up the rack, installing and maintaining the system during the PoC test under the supervision of test site lab manager.
  • Performing data sanitation and return of components to WH after the PoC evaluation is complete under the supervision of PM test site lab manager.

Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience with Supermicro products from the server networking portfolio.
  • 2+ years of experience with assembly, installation and troubleshooting of server products within a data center environment.
  • Previous experience working in ESD protected areas is considered a plus.
  • Previous experience with SM and MM LC/MPO fiber connectors and fusion splicing with Fujikura equipment is considered a plus.
  • Must be solution-oriented, a team player with the ability to identify and escalate issues in a timely manner and be proactive in driving a resolution in matrix team environment.
  • Full professional proficiency in business and technical English required, additional languages (Dutch, German, France) preferred.
  • Must be punctual and detail-oriented.
  • Must possess an excellent ability to follow-up on planned actions.
