Job Summary:
Supermicro is seeking for an EMC compliance engineer with working knowledge of international standards governing telecommunication equipment (CE, BSMI, CCC, VCCI etc.) as well as experience working with UL, CSA, or other NRTLs to meet necessary compliance standards. The ideal candidate should have solid hands-on experiences in debugging issues, familiar with product safety regulations and maintaining documentation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining compliance documentation, reports, and datasheets.
- Define safety standards and be involved in chassis, product-designing process.
- Be responsible for factory inspections from agency approvals such as UL, CSA, TUV, CCC, etc. Resolve safety and EMC issues that arise in real time situations.
- Work with OEM clients to help with their compliance certifications if needed.
- Continuously develop, control, and define compliance project process to promote effectiveness and efficiency.
- Research and collect EMEA counties compliance regulations. Provide update and regular training for EMEA sales/FAE/PM with regards to new rules and regulations.
- Weekly sync up with HQ U.S. and Taiwan compliance team.
- Work with ISO team and participate ISO committee.
- Support and backup for department duties.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or higher in Science, Industry, Engineering, electrical, IT, information or Testing.
- 1-5 years related experience.
- Knowledge of product regulatory compliance on ITE, or electronics.
