Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and pragmatic HR Generalist to provide full-cycle HR support specifically to our Production and Warehouse departments. This is not a desk-only job, it requires a visible presence in front of employees and managers, building trust with team leaders and employees. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a deep understanding of Dutch labor law and practices, who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment, possess solid progressive well-rounded human resources experience with exceptional interpersonal skills. They will have the ability to interact with all levels in the company using tact, patience and professional courtesy and demonstrate a sense of urgency and teamwork as well as timely and accurate follow-through.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all HR-related matters for managers and employees within the Production and Warehouse departments.
  • Provide expert, hands-on support in employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, disciplinary actions, and absenteeism guidance, in full compliance with Dutch labor law.
  • Manage the entire employee lifecycle for employees, from onboarding new hires and conducting introductions to facilitating exit interviews.
  • Advise and support line managers with workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning for their teams.
  • Identify training needs, coordinate development programs, and support the implementation of health & safety initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate employee data in our HRIS
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that are effective and understood on the work floor.

Qualifications:

 

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Advisor in the Netherlands.
  • Proven, hands-on experience supporting production, manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics teams.
  • In-depth, up-to-date knowledge of Dutch employment law.
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English (verbal and written) is preferred.
  • Strong, pragmatic problem-solving skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly with a diverse, frontline workforce.
  • A proactive, business-oriented, and no-nonsense approach to HR.
